A groove running down the centre of the shelf acts as an anti-roll feature, helping to prevent darts from rolling off the shelf and onto the floor.

The shelf is fitted with two keyhole brackets on the rear for secure and discreet wall mounting, giving it a clean floating appearance once installed.

How we prepare the rough sawn timber:
First, we plane the timber on all sides to clean it up. Note that this process can sometimes take up to 1/4″ off the finished size. Each shelf is then sent to the router to give it the roundover edges. Using various grit papers, we then hand sand to give it a smooth finish and wax it giving the shelf its final colour.

Aftercare & Disclaimer:

The wood we use is sustainably sourced. All of our wood collection is made from real solid wood and so can be heavy. With our products being made from natural woods, you will expect to see slight imperfections including wood grains, knots and even overall finish. Please expect each shelf to be unique. Our products aren’t laminated and are real, solid wood. Meaning each one will have a different appearance. Just how nature intended! Our products are all hand made to a high standard. Please note that we cannot guarantee a complete colour match to that you see on your screen. The finished product may look slightly different in colour. This is due to your screen calibrations (brightness, contrast and saturation).

To maintain your shelf, only use a damp cloth to clean up any spillages. Otherwise, using just an anti-static duster will give the best performance for general regular cleaning. Every couple of years, it is recommended to re-wax your piece of wooden furniture. This can be done using a clear furniture wax. We use only kiln dried timber meaning it is already adapted to the usual humidity levels within your home. Note that placing this shelf above a fireplace may result in cracks and warping over time. Whilst this will give the shelf the ultimate barn-style appearance, it is recommended to wax the wood more frequently to give a better protection going forward.
