First, we run each piece of rough sawn timber through the planer to clean up the faces. Once the faces have been cleaned up, it’s on to the main bench saw, where we rip each edge to remove any rough, splintered parts. We then move the freshly planed piece of wood onto the sanding bench where it is sanded down the grits. Now the wood is ready to be cut down to size. Once cut to size, we then hand sand to give it a smooth finish and wax it giving the product its final colour!
Please expect each shelf to be unique. Our products aren’t laminated and are real, heavy solid wood. Meaning each one will have a different appearance. Just how nature intended! The wood we use is sustainably sourced. With our products being made from natural woods, you will expect to see slight imperfections including wood grains, knots and even overall finish. Our products are all hand made to a high standard and not mass produced by robotics. Actual colors may vary. This is due to computer monitors displaying colors differently and everyone can see these colors differently. We try extremely hard to ensure our photos are as life-like as possible, but please understand the actual color may vary slightly from your monitor.
